LA Men's League - REGISTRATION OPENS Monday Sept. 8. at 10:00am
LA Women's League - REGISTRATION OPENS Monday Sept. 8. at 10:00am

Levels:

• Intermediate: Combined DUPR 13-15 (no players 4.0 and above)
• Advanced: Combined DUPR 15-18

Divisions: Men’s & Women’s (all ages)

Match format:
Best of 5 games. All 5 games will be played each evening since overall games could be a factor to decide a tiebreaker at the end of the season.

Players must rotate partners each game and only play the same pairing once per match.  As a result, no player is allowed to play more than 3 total games per match. The entire match can be completed with 4 players, or additional team members can play as long as total DUPR rules are adhered to.

Pre-Game rules:  To decide lineups, team captains can do “1 or 2” behind the back. The winner gets to react to the first game of the night. For the following round, the captain who lost the initial number guess gets to react for game 2 and you will alternate reacting for each following game.

Game format:

  1. Winner of “1 or 2” behind the back gets to choose serve or side.
  2. Games are played to 15, win by 1.
  3. Switch sides at 8.
  4. One time out per team per game.
  5. Players on court call lines and foot faults. Teammates off court AND spectators are not allowed to participate in line calls.

Allowing for warm-up time and rest time, courts should be booked for 3 hours in order to complete each match.

Team roster: Teams must have a minimum of 4 players on their roster to compete (and may have up to 6 players on roster).  Players may be added to the roster up until the completion of the first two weeks of the season—at that time all rosters will be frozen. Up to 5 players may compete in any given match.

Team captains are responsible for making sure they have coverage for every week. Matches cannot be rescheduled.  If your team does not have the minimum number of players for one week, you forfeit any games that cannot be played and give the opposite team automatic wins for those.

How DUPR total is calculated: DUPR is recorded one time at the beginning of the league when a member is added to the team roster. Your DUPR total is the total of the 4 highest DUPR ratings on your team, regardless of who plays each week. If a person has two DUPR IDs, we will use the higher DUPR ID. (Players are responsible for reaching out to DUPR to combine multiple IDs as needed.)

Weather/unforeseen event: In the event of a weather or other unforeseen event, captains will be asked to vote on a makeup day before the end of the league, and iPickle will make an effort to book a court for the makeup. If only one or two teams can’t make it, those teams can book two courts for 1 ½ hours on their own to do the makeup match within 10 days. If all captains cannot agree on a makeup day, or if court time cannot be booked, the day will be a forfeit for all teams.

Refunds and waitlist: Any team who is not able to purchase entry to the league can be placed on a waitlist. If a spot opens up in the league before the first meeting, teams will be given an opportunity to join on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds are allowed once the league has started.

Team fee: Fee is $350 per team

Play times: Courts will be pre-booked for league play on Mondays 7pm – 10pm.

DUPR:  Scores will NOT be reported to DUPR for this league.

Number of teams required: Each division must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 teams in order to hold a league. The total number of matches depends upon the number of teams in the league as follows:

4-team league, each team will play every team twice (total of 6 matches, no playoffs)

6-team league, each team plays every other team once (total of 5 matches with playoffs)

Captains: Each team is required to have a team captain who is responsible for fielding their team, and communicating with the league coordinator about scheduling, results and enforcing the Code of Conduct with their team. There will be a mandatory virtual captain’s meeting on September 15, 2025 at 7 PM. If you are unable to attend, please contact League Administrator Kim at kim@ipickle.com ASAP.

Score reporting:  Team captains are required to send a picture of their completed scoresheet to Kim via Whatsapp.

Winner: Winner of the league is determined by:

  1. Match Wins/Losses
  2. Head to head
  3. Total Game Wins/Losses
  4. Total points

If the league has playoffs, the top 2 teams will compete for first place. Teams 3-6 will additionally compete for their final ranking.

There is only one winner for the entire league per division. Winner’s will be announced at the end of the last day of the season.

Prize: The winning team for each division will win a commemorative “champions” sweatshirt.
