4x4 pickleball league
Get ready for the 4×4 Pickleball League!
The Spring league will be a 7-week league between either iPickle La Habra / Cerritos or iPickle Arroyo Seco / Arcadia. The two winning teams earn championship shirts and free registration for the following season.
Levels: Combined team DUPR of 14-16 (total DUPR Rating for 2 men and 2 women for each match)
Divisions: Co-ed, all ages
Team format: For each match, teams field four players (two men and two women). Each match consists of six games to 15: one men’s doubles, one women’s doubles, and four mixed doubles games.
Each facility must have a 2- 4 teams in order to hold a league. The total number of matches depends upon the number of teams in the league.
Team roster: Teams must have a minimum of 4 players on their roster to compete (and may have up to 8 players on roster). Players may be added to the roster up until the completion of the first two weeks of the season – at that time all rosters will be frozen.
Team fee: Fee is $280 per team = $70/player / (10% discount if your captain is a member)
Play times: Courts will be pre-booked for league play on Mondays from 7:00 – 10:00 PM.
Captains: Each team is required to have a team captain who is responsible for signing the team up and communicating with the league coordinator re: scheduling and results.

FAQs
Can our team be higher than DUPR 16?
No. We are setting 16 as the limit because we want the games to be fun. It’s up to the team captains to ensure that for each week, their four-person team’s DUPR total is no higher than 16 for four members. If you have more than four players in one match, read the next question.
If I have more than four members on my team and we want to let everyone play during the league, can we have more than four people playing for our team in a single match?
Yes! If you have 5 or more members playing in one match, the total must not be under a multiple of 3.5 or over a multiple of 4. So a team of 5’s DUPR can’t be under 17.5 or over 20, team of 6’s DUPR can’t be under 21 or over 24, etc.) Team captains are responsible for ensuring the team DUPR is within the limit.
When do games take place?
Games take place on Monday evenings from 7pm – 9pm. The games will alternate between two clubs. We will pre-book the courts for you.
What if I can’t make it one week?
Get your sub to play! Teams are allowed up to 8 players on the roster to sub for people who can’t make it every week. Just make sure that your DUPR total is under 16 every week.
Can non-members be on a team?
Yes!
Will these games be recorded into DUPR?
No, not for this league.

Team captains should register and pay for the whole team. Team captains are responsible for collecting payment from their team members.
