LA Mixed League - REGISTRATION CLOSES January 15.
Levels:
• Intermediate: Combined DUPR 13-15
• Advanced: Combined DUPR 15-18
Divisions: Men’s & Women’s (all ages)
Match format: Best of 7 games. All 7 games will be played each evening since overall games could be a factor to decide a tiebreaker at the end of the season.
Team Roster: Teams must have a minimum of 4 players on their roster to compete and may have up to 8 players on their roster as substitutes.
Deadline to add players to your roster is January 26, 2026.
Team captains are responsible for making sure they have coverage every week. If your team does not have enough coverage on any given week, games you cannot play are forfeited and counted as automatic wins for the other team.
No player is allowed to play more than 4 total games per match or with the same partner more than two games. The entire match can be completed with 4 players. Additional team members can play as long as total DUPR rules are adhered to.
Pre-game rules: For the lineups, team captains can do 1 or 2 behind the back. The winner decides whether to act or react to the first match lineup; the loser has to act or react accordingly. For the following round, the captain who lost the number guess gets to choose to act or react. Each round alternates from there.
Game format:
- Winner of “1 or 2” behind the back gets to choose serve or side.
- Games are played to 11, win by 1.
- Switch sides at 6.
- One time out per team per game.
- Players on court call lines and foot faults. Teammates off court AND spectators are not allowed to participate in line calls.
Allowing for warm-up time and rest time, courts should be booked for 3 hours in order to complete each match.
How DUPR total is calculated: DUPR is recorded one time at the beginning of the league when a member is added to the team roster. Your DUPR total is the total of the four players with the highest DUPR ratings on your team, regardless of who plays each week. If a person has two DUPR IDs, we will use the higher DUPR ID. (Players are responsible for reaching out to DUPR to combine multiple IDs as needed.)
*If a player does not currently have a DUPR rating, they should enroll in the league division they feel most aligns with their skill level. All non-rated players will be evaluated after the first match to determine their eligibility on their current team.
Weather/unforeseen event: In the event of a weather or other unforeseen event, the match will be added on to the end of the season on the Monday after the last day. If teams are not able to play that day, captains will be asked to vote on a makeup day before the end of the league, and iPickle will make an effort to book a court for the makeup.
Refunds and waitlist: Any team who is not able to purchase entry to the league can be placed on a waitlist. If a spot opens up in the league before the first meeting, teams will be given an opportunity to join on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds are allowed once the league has started.
Team fee: Fee is $350 per team
Play times: Courts will be pre-booked at Whittier, Arcadia, and Arroyo for league play on Mondays 7pm – 10pm. The complete schedule for each division and location will be announced closer to the league start date.
