LA Senior Mixed League - REGISTRATION OPENS December 29 at 10:00am

Division: Mixed (ages 50+)

Levels: Based on the number of teams that register, we will divide the teams into equal divisions based on current combined DUPRs

Match format:  Best of 7 games. All 7 games will be played each evening since overall games could be a factor to decide a tiebreaker at the end of the season.

No player is allowed to play more than 4 total games per match or with the same partner more than two times. The entire match can be completed with 4 players. Additional team members can play as long as total DUPR rules are adhered to. A minimum of 4 players must play each match.

Pre-game rules: For the lineups, team captains can do 1 or 2 behind the back. The winner decides whether to act or react to the first match lineup and chooses to play men’s or women’s doubles first; the loser has to act or react accordingly. For the following round, the captain who lost the number guess gets to choose to act or react. Each round alternates from there.

Game format:

  1. Winner of “1 or 2” behind the back gets to choose serve or side.
  2. Games are played to 11, win by 1.
  3. Switch sides at 6.
  4. One time out per team per game.
  5. Players on court call lines and foot faults. Teammates off court AND spectators are not allowed to participate in line calls.

Each match will consist of  1 women’s doubles game, 1 men’s doubles game, and 5 mixed doubles games.
Allowing for warm-up time and rest time, courts should be booked for 3 hours in order to complete each match.

Team roster: Teams must have a minimum of 4 players (2 M, 2 F) on their roster to compete (and may have up to 8 players on roster).

Team captains are responsible for making sure they have coverage for every week. Matches cannot be rescheduled.  If your team does not have the minimum number of players for one week, you forfeit any games that cannot be played and give the opposite team automatic wins for those.

Weather/unforeseen event: In the event of a weather or other unforeseen event, captains will be asked to vote on a makeup day before the end of the league, and iPickle will make an effort to book a court for the makeup. If only one or two teams can’t make it, those teams can book two courts for 1 ½ hours on their own to do the makeup match within 10 days. If all captains cannot agree on a makeup day, or if court time cannot be booked, the day will be a forfeit for all teams.

Refunds and waitlist: Any team who is not able to purchase entry to the league can be placed on a waitlist. If a spot opens up in the league before the first meeting, teams will be given an opportunity to join on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds are allowed once the league has started.

Team fee: Fee is $350 per team
