Dear iPickle family,
Get ready for our second annual iPickle OC Open, featuring our largest Open prize pool ever at $15,000!
Last year’s OC Open at iPickle La Habra – despite all the postponements due to the pesky rain – was still one of our biggest and liveliest round robin tournaments ever with nearly 900 entrants. This year, we are excited to report that we’ve negotiated an agreement with the weather gods and they have guaranteed us absolutely picturesque playing conditions for three days straight! Wow!!! If we receive anything short of that, we’ll be sure to stage a rebellion.
In addition, we’ve consulted the Open Prize Money gods and they informed us that it would be a wise move to raise the Open level prize money to support pro players because the prices of eggs at grocery stores have recently skyrocketed to absurd levels. Well, we decided to listen and will be debuting a new $15,000 total prize pool—the largest in iPickle history—spread across five open-level divisions!!! We will also be expanding our Slam offerings by adding in full singles amateur + Open divisions for the very first time. A breakdown of the new prize money pool is provided below.

OPEN DIVISION PRIZE MONEY *NEW*:
Men’s & Women’s Open Singles
$1,500 for each Open Division
• 1st Place: $700
• 2nd Place: $500
• 3rd Place: $300
*Division will be cancelled if 12 player minimum is not reached*
Men’s & Women’s Open Doubles
$4,000 for each Open division (Minimum 10 teams required)
• 1st place team: $2,000
2nd place team: $1,200
• 3rd place team: $800

Mixed Open Doubles
$4,000 (Minimum 10 teams required)
• 1st Place: $2,000

*ALL OPEN DIVISIONS WILL BE CAPPED AT 32 TEAMS*
PLAY COURTS:
45 courts (19 permanent courts, 26 additional courts)
FORMAT:
Continuous Round Robin play with guaranteed minimum of 5 games. Depending on bracket size, full tournament play can range between 5-10 games (additional games if divisions have playoff rounds).

USAP 2024 Pickleball Rules will govern.
No Joola Gen 3 or 3S paddles permitted.
Joola MOD-TA will still be permitted until July 1st, 2025
New Joola Pro IV series with dual USAP/UPA Certification are permitted.
ENTRY FEES
$70 Amateur Division Entry
$100 Open Singles Division Entry
$110 Open Doubles Divisions Entry
10% discount for iPickle facility members
10% discount for Early Bird registration by Tuesday, April 1st
Final Registration Deadline is Monday, April 21 at 11:59PM
DUPR:
All scores will be posted to DUPR with the exception of the prize money Open divisions. Players should register for free DUPR account if they have not done so already at MyDupr.com. You will also need to join the iPickle DUPR Club, which can be found at this link. Neither player on a team may have a DUPR rating higher than the division entered (eg. a 3.5 male may not play in 3.5 mixed division with a 4.05 woman as the woman is not eligible).

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

You will be asked to identify your partner and your level, DUPR rating and age group during the registration process.
